In much of my work, I develop custom WordPress themes. I typically work with a designer to develop the layout and functionality for a specific client.  But sometimes, an off the shelf theme will work just fine.

I was approached by a graphic designer that I had previously worked for. She wanted to blog about her experience preparing meals for sailboat races and planning menus for weeks of cruising  – all focused on the Pacific Northwest. Her budget was small and did not require complex functionality. The only special consideration was the ability to include nicely formatted recipes. With this in mind, we selected the Sprout & Spoon theme.   Since the site owner is a graphic designer and has access to great photos, she is able to keep the site updated. My role was limited to website set up on SiteGround, ensuring that everything was working correctly and providing training on how to add the recipes.
